Hello I’m Amanda, if you're visiting this site you are also probably aware and concerned about the damage single use packaging, mostly plastic, is doing to our environment. Many of us are shocked and saddened by the amount of plastic choking our planet. In reality only around 9% of plastic is recycled, in general it can only be downgraded into an inferior plastic and can only be recycled once. The remaining waste packaging will end up in landfill, incinerators and the ocean.
As a family we're making every effort to make better choices and take some responsibility, that’s when we decided to open Naturally Unwrapped, a way to offer non-plastic packaged food items, cleaning products, natural toiletries and household items.
We want to make a difference, by promoting a “reduce and reuse” ethos for an alternative way of shopping, which cuts waste and helps the environment.
Our goal is to help you eliminate or cut down on the single use plastics and unnecessary packaging from your weekly shop. It seems almost impossible to buy anything which isn't wrapped in plastic. We 're here to offer an alternative, more traditional way to shop.
By recycling to reuse, you'll contribute towards the reduction of manufacturing of new materials, saving energy and reducing greenhouse gases, which affect climate change. By minimising our waste we can help to sustain the environment for future generations.
We cannot live without the planet, the planet would thrive without us.
